Love and Kindness Meditation

Describe your experience. Did you find it beneficial? Difficult? Why or why not? Would you recommend this to others? Why or why not?
 
          When I performed this meditation I found it very peaceful. It was not difficult actually it was very easy. I would recommend this to others. This warmed my heart and I came out of it feeling very at peace. I feel others should experience this and understand this feeling to make for a better world.
 
What is the concept of "mental workout"? What does the research indicate are the proven benefits of a mental workout? How can you implement mental workouts to foster your psychological health?
 
Mental workouts are exactly what it states, exercises for the mind. Mental workouts can provide clarity and a greater wisdom into what we are capable of as humans. Daily mental workouts through meditation and affirmations with self reflection can create a new way of thinking. Fifteen minutes everyday sitting in a quiet place preferable in morning while the mind is at peace and focuses on one area of the inner self will create psychological wellness.

    You did a great job on this week’s blog! I love how you stated that mental workouts help provide clarity and a greater wisdom into what we are capable of as humans. I do think doing mental workouts help clear the mind of negative energy and vibes. I have just had a hard time with this exercise as it was hard for me to concentrate and show compassion and love when all I was concentrated on was the woman sounding like a robot however, this is my own opinion. I did not really like this week’s exercise.
    I love how you stated ways to implement mental workouts could be every day sitting for 15 minutes and focus on an area. Do you think you could do this without having a narrator or do you think it would be easier having someone tell you how and what to do next? Everyone is different in how they would benefit from mental exercise how would you?
